4 Places to Take WINTER Engagement Photos in Colorado

Colorado is beautiful in ALL seasons. Winter might be one of my favorites. I love the quality of the sun coming from lower in the horizon because it’s soft and ethereal. I love the resilience of the landscape as it weathers through the dropping temperatures. I love that winter imbues coziness as my couples get extra close for warmth and comfort.

If you want to do winter photos, I am here for it! However, there is a chance we won’t actually have snow falling during your shoot. As most of you know, Colorado has a whole lot of sunshine throughout the year, including in wintertime. There still might be snow on the ground! And, if we go further into the mountains to higher elevation, then there’s a better chance there will be plenty of snow to play with and use as a backdrop.

Yes, it might be chilly, but I swear it will be worthwhile. Besides, we can always grab a cup of hot cocoa after to warm our fingers and noses. Let me know if you have other ideas in the comments below!
